Friends of the March of the Living

OUR MISSION

The mission of the FRIENDS OF THE MARCH OF THE LIVING is to ensure the perpetuation of the March of the Living Program through the establishment and maintenance of an endowment fund. The endowment fund will support the March of the Living’s goals of educating Jewish teenagers about the dangers of assimilation, hatred and intolerance. We will instill in them the necessity to ‘Never Forget’ and the importance of continuing to share the stories of the Holocaust Survivors for generations to come.

Who we support

THE MARCH OF THE LIVING is an international, educational program that brings Jewish high school students from all over the world to Poland on Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memorial Day, to march from Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest concentration camp complex built during World War II, and then to Israel to observe Yom HaZikaron, Israel Memorial Day, and to celebrate Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Israel Independence Day. The goal of the March of the Living is for these young people to learn the lessons of the Holocaust and to lead the Jewish people into the future vowing Never Again. Since it’s inception in 1988, Dade and Broward Counties have sent over 3000 individuals on this once in a lifetime experience. Learn how you can help.
